Description

Faction film set in Germany, 1933.

When well-known psychiatrist Karl Bonhoeffer is asked to examine Reichstag arsonist Marinus van der Lubbe and testifying to his clinical sanity in court, he expects to be dealing with another "dim-witted communist".
As it turns out, nothing could be further from the truth: through their conversations and the events in Berlin 1933, the initially self-complacent psychiatrist gets more and more confused by the half-blind vagabond – a visionary, predicting a terrible war and who’s confronting him, Bonhoeffer and his family with absolute choices.

The story of Van der Lubbe and the Bonhoeffers is a story of all times, but perhaps now more relevant than ever.
